Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has hailed the club goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega Moreno following their 2-0 win against Chelsea on Wednesday’s Carabao Cup third-round tie at the Etihad.

Guardiola while hailing Moreno’s display for Man City against Chelsea described him as “exceptional”.

The match saw the German goalkeeper man Man City’s goalpost as two goals from Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez ensured the Citizens progressed into the next round of the Carabao Cup.

“It is not the first game [that Moreno has impressed],” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference after the match.

“The game in Dortmund and against Sevilla, he was exceptional. Today as well.

“The club made an incredible signing. He is an exceptional goalkeeper in all departments with the ball and with his feet.

“Chelsea didn’t score because he saved it. It is good for Ederson as well. To have competition is so important to maintain your level,” he added.
