Can Man Utd sign this Leicester City star in January?
Manchester United are hoping to sign new players in January to correct the weakness in their squad.
A new report has revealed that Man Utd are targeting Leicester City star, Harvey Barnes as a possible transfer alternative to Jadon Sancho in January.
The report revealed that the Red Devils have been impressed by Barnes’s performance so far this season and would love to bring him over to Old Trafford.
Sun Sport reports disclosed that coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also believed to be a fan of Barnes, and has been keeping a close watch on his progress.
Man United could drop their interest in Sancho and move for Barnes as Dormund have refused to drop the transfer price of £100 million for the former.
However, it is uncertain if Man Utd will be able to sign the England international from Leicester City as the foxes values him at £60 million.
The Red Devils are said to be going to the January transfer window with a funds of about £30 million, which means they wouldn’t be able to pay the fee except they sell some of their players.
Leicester City on the under hand are not under pressure to sell Barnes and wouldn’t be willing to let the 22-year-old attacker leave for Man Utd.
Barnes made it to Leicester first-team in 2016 after which he was transferred on loan to MK Dons, Barnsley and West Brom.
