Chelsea manager and Germany international Thomas Tuchel has revealed the best position where Callum Hudson-Odoi performs the best.

Tuchel stressed that Hudson-Odoi plays best a left-winger; he, however, added that the 20-years-old needs to help as a right wing-back occasionally.

The Blues manager made this known after his side 4-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea defeated Malmo, thanks to goals from Jorginho, Andreas Christensen and Kai Havertz.

Hudson-Odoi, who came in as a replacement for Timo Werner, injured in the first half of the match, was impressive for the Blues at the left flank.

“This is his best position, I know,” Tuchel told beIN Sports while acknowledging Hudson-Odoi’s performance.

“Sometimes he needs to help as a right wing-back, so he needs to take it for the team.

“But we know the half left position upfront is his best position.”

Chelsea will return to action this weekend in the Premier League when they face Norwich City in their next match.

The Blues are currently seated at the top of the league table and would hope to maintain a spot by picking all three points vs Norwich.
