Brazil star named the best in Chelsea squad

Former Tottenham Hotspur star, Darren Bent has named Brazil star Thiago Silva as Chelsea’s most consistent player this season.

Bent in his statement said the Brazil international does not bring his manager Graham Potter down whenever he is called upon.

Since the sack of Thomas Tuchel by new owners led by Todd Boehly, Chelsea have not been able to achieve more as they have remained inconsistent under current manager Graham Potter, with only 20 goals in 16 games.

As of now, Chelsea are seated at the 9th spot on the EPL table and are seven points adrift of fourth-place Man Utd as Potter continues to try different styles of play and different players in different positions to build his first team at Stamford Bridge.

In all of this, Silva has remained solid in Chelsea’s defence and is considered the best player in the Blues’ team this season alongside injured Reece James.

“I think he [Graham Potter]is still trying to find that consistency in the team.

“But Thiago Silva is the only one who could hold his head up every single time he’s been called upon and he has never let him down,” he said.
