Chelsea owners led by Todd Boehly’s visit to the club’s dressing room was said to have not gone well with the players.

According to the report, the American billionaire singled out one of his underperforming players during his intense speech after the Blues’ defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

Recall that Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Seagulls, which happened to be their 12th loss of the season, placing them 11th in the Premier League table.

The aftermath of the match saw Boehly visit the Blues’ changing room alongside fellow co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Hasjorg Wyss.

The billionaire described their current situation as “embarrassing,” in a speech meant to fire up the players before their Champions League quarter-final return leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.

It is believed that his action may have passed a wrong message to the players as The Guardian reported that one player was left disillusioned after the American singled him out and heavily criticised him.
