Chelsea owner and American billionaire Todd Boehly has been linked with a move to acquire another club.

The report revealed Boehly is ‘very interested’ in taking over French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg amid early talks with the club president, Marc Keller.

Recall that Boehly succeeded Roman Abramovich as Chelsea’s new owner in the summer and has spent over £600million on players in the last two transfer windows.

He also sacked manager, Thomas Tuchel last September and replaced him with Graham Potter.

However, his plans for Chelsea seem not to be working out, with the Blues still struggling in the Premier League as they currently sit in the 10th position in the league.

The Blues have also been kicked out of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

However, according to L’Equipe, Boehly is now focused on acquiring more clubs and is keen on Strasbourg.

Strasbourg are currently seated at the 15th spot on the Ligue 1 table, and Boehly is said to have already met Keller over a potential sale, in which he would want to acquire 100 per cent of the French top-flight club.
