Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has shared an insight on Frank Lampard’s reaction after the team failed to secure another three points at Stamford Bridge against Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Blues have been having a bad run of form for that past few weeks and things got more worse when they lost to London rivals Arsenal on Saturday night.

An home game against Aston Villa was meant to be a turning point for Frank Lampard’s team but they couldn’t break a well disciplined West Ham side as the matches ended 1-1.

Olivier Giroud’s 34th-minute header gave Chelsea the lead but Anwar El Ghazi scored his fifth goal this season shortly after half-time to ensure that Dean Smith side leave Stamford Bridge with a point.

Ben Chilwell who was on the pitch from start to finish has now shared his manager’s reaction after the match.

The England left-back while speaking with the club official website stated that Lampard is more pleased than he was during their match against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Chilwell noted that it’s a draw at home and the team wants to be winning these games but the effort and the performance was a lot better in this game than the last one.

He added that the mentality was the main thing they wanted from it, Chilwel revealed Lampard stated that it was better that although it was a disappointing result but looking back at their game against Arsenal which is 48 hours later after a pretty poor performance the team have played well and shown good character.

Chelsea will be eager to turn their season around by winning against Manchester City on Sunday.
