Bayern Munich striker and Poland international Robert Lewandowski in a recent statement revealed why he wants to leave the German club this summer, despite having one more year on his contract with them.

While Lewandowski has made known his intention to leave Bayern Munich this summer, the club is yet to accede to his request.

The reports revealed the Polish striker has already agreed to personal terms with Barcelona but is only waiting for the German club to reach an agreement with the Spanish giants.

However, speaking with Onet Sport, Lewandowski, 33 said he wants to leave Bayern because something has died in him, adding that he wants to depart the Bavarians for more emotions in his life.

“No other offers were even considered by me other than that of Barcelona,” Lewandowski tells OnetSport.

“I want to leave Bayern, that’s clear”.

He added, “I only want to leave Bayern. Loyalty and respect are more important than work. The best way is to find a solution together.

This is a blow on Chelsea, who have been hoping to sign him as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who failed to impress last season.
