German club Bayern Munich are close to finalising a transfer for Chelsea coach Anthony Barry, according to the report via 90min.

It is no longer news that Bayern’s new manager Thomas Tuchel who worked with Barry during his time at Stamford Bridge made it known to Bayern hierarchy that he wanted to bring him to Germany.

90min reported that Barry has informed Chelsea of his desire to join Tuchel and talks are now nearing a conclusion.

The Blues were said to be upset with Tuchel after he openly revealed he wanted Barry at Munich before a deal had been agreed upon.

Tuchel upon being appointed as Bayern Munich manager said: “We’re hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea.”

90min reported that Tuchel’s action was one of the reasons the move has been delayed to this point.

Barry arrived at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard and was retained by Tuchel and current Chelsea coach Graham Potter.
