Bayern Munich beat Chelsea, Man Utd to sign this player from RB Leipzig

German giant, Bayern Munich have defeated the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and others in the race to sign Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

While there were anticipation some few weeks ago that Upamecano could move to England, it however looks like he would remain in Germany at least for the next 5 years.

According to Bayern Munich director, Hasan Salihamidzic, he confirmed the club has signed Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

According to the reports, Upamecano is believed to have a release clause worth €42.5 million, which the German giant have activatedd.

“We are very happy about it at FC Bayern.

“We had very good, intensive and professional discussions with Dayot and his advisor Volker Struth for many months. We knew that we had very strong competition,” Salihamidzic told Bild.

This is a big blow on Chelsea under their new coach, Thomas Tuchel who had hoped to sign the French star in the summer transfer window.

As it stands the Blues and other Premier League  clubs who had shown interest in Upamecano will have to looks elsewhere in the summer transfer window

Upamecano happens to be one of the top youngsters in Europe at the moment owing to his style of football.
