Barcelona target this Chelsea striker

The report have claimed that the Spanish side Barcelona have eyes on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

It is believed that the Catalans want Lukaku if they are unable to seal a deal for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski this summer.

Barcelona like many other clubs have shown interest to sign Lewandowski this summer but the German club have refused to let him go except if they get a good offer.

According to reports in Spain, Barcelona have submitted a formal proposal offering €32m (£27.4m) for the 33-year-old striker.

Bayern are, however, unlikely to accept the terms, although it at least represents a starting point for discussions which will not be straightforward.

The same outlet claimed that Lukaku could enter the equation if Bayern insist on refusing to let a player who they are risking losing on a free transfer in 12 months to leave.

Lukaku has scored just 15 goals during his first season at Stamford Bridge and is already hoping to depart Chelsea this summer and make a return to his former club Inter Milan.
