A latest report has revealed that Barcelona starlet and Spain international Gavi has ruled out transfer move to Chelsea.

There are no reasons for the Spanish midfielder to consider a swap deal from Camp Nou to Stamford Bridge as he is already a regular at the club and his country even at the tender age of 17.

Gavi also recently made some achievements after he finished in the top five of the Golden Boy 2021 alongside teammate and winner Pedri

The Catalans are understood to be working on a new deal for the 17-year-old midfielder whose current contract expires in 2023.

Chelsea were rumoured to be preparing to trigger his £42m release clause for him, but the player has since dismissed a switch to Stamford Bridge.

A report via Sport Witness claimed that the teenager has ruled out the possibility of leaving Barcelona and is keen to agree to a new-and-improved deal at the club.

The report added that Barcelona want to insert a €1bn (£841.3m) release clause into his new contract, with Joan Laporta expecting Gavi to remain at Camp Nou for some years.

Gavi has created an assist from 15 games in all tournaments this term and has started 10 of those matches, but he is yet to play the full 90 minutes at senior level.
