According to The Sun, Barcelona are hoping to reach a deal for Jorginho if he becomes a free agent as they hope to make him a replacement for Sergio Busquets, who turns 35 next summer and is also due to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Jorginho was part of the starting squad for Chelsea’s new manager Graham Potter’s first game in charge against Red Bull Salzburg, which ended in a 1-1 scoreline.

It is yet to be known if the Blues manager will sanction a new deal for the Italian this season.
