The Blues are still in the race to sign  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona before the transfer day deadline but they are hoping to bring down his demands to achieve this.

A report via the UK Telegraph revealed Aubameyang is demanding a 3-year contract from Chelsea, which the Blues are not ready to agree with.

While Chelsea have also not met Barcelona’s £25.6m asking price, this is believed not to be an issue as they would pay if they are able to reach an agreement with the player.

Aubameyang is said to be keen on the move to Stamford and salary is understood not to be an issue.

The report added that the move to Chelsea has been further complicated by an attack on the striker.

Recall that Aubameyang and his wife were hit in the face in front of their children during a violent attack by armed robbers in the early hours of Monday
