Aubameyang removed from Chelsea’s UCL squad

Chelsea forward and Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been removed from the Blues’ updated Champions League squad.

This means he would no longer feature in any of Chelsea’s UCL games for the rest of this season.

In a recent statement, Chelsea manager Graham Potter opened up on why the former Arsenal star was not included in the new list and would miss their round of 16 match against German side Borussia Dortmund.

According to Potter, the decision was not reached because Aubameyang had done anything wrong.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have included the names of three of their January signings on the list.

Despite the upset, Potter insists that Aubameyang can get back into the team.

“I don’t think it’s going to be difficult because Pierre is a professional.

“He was the one that missed out, he’s done nothing wrong at all,” Potter said.

Aubameyang was also absent during the Blues’ 0-0 draw against Fulham.
