Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta in a recent statement named the team as the reason behind former Chelsea star Kai Havertz’s slow start to life at the club.

Recall that Arteta sanctioned a £65 million move for Havertz in the recent summer transfer window despite the German not impressing at Chelsea.

The German arrived at Emirates Stadium after veteran Granit Xhaka left the Gunners for German side Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

Since his move to Arsenal, Havertz has often found himself in a deeper role in midfield.

He, has, however, continued his poor form at the club as the 24-year-old has scored only one goal and provided one assist so far.

Speaking during a press conference on Friday, Arteta was keen to point towards collective responsibilities when asked about Havertz’s poor start.

“I’m not going to put it on any individual. We are a team,” Arteta said.
