Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted at the club signing more players this summer after their record-breaking deal for Declan Rice from West Ham.

So far this summer transfer window, Arsenal have signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea, Jurrien Timber from Ajax and Rice from West Ham.

On the other hand, Granit Xhaka has left the Emirate Stadium, while there are doubts about the futures of players like Thomas Partey, Cedric Soares, Nicolas Pepe and Folarin Balogun at the club.

While speaking in the US where the team is having the second part of its preseason training, Arteta admitted they were “alert” to possibilities.

“We will be alert. There’s a lot of time still in the market.”

“We’ll have to see how things develop in the next couple of weeks. There’s still time to do things – for exits as well.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal are keen on bolstering their squad ahead of next season when they will be competing in the Champions League.
