Arteta gives update on Timber and Rice

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an update on the club’s incoming signings Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber as the Gunners commence their pre-season tour.

The North London club squad who are currently in Germany went head to head against Nurnberg on Thursday night in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.

However, supporters were hoping that Arsenal would have been done with deals for Timber and Rice in time for them to make their debut during the pre-season.

The two incoming players were missing, as the final details of their deals are being sorted out.

Speaking in a post-match statement, Arteta said: “At the moment, we are working with the group of players that is here.

“Nothing is done yet and when it is done, you will be the first to know.”

Meanwhile, the Gunners are expected to unveil Timber and Rice as their new players any time soon.
