Chelsea will have to wrap up their deal for Xavi Simons as soon as possible before the RB Leipzig midfielder is hijacked from them this summer.

This comes as a recent report named Arsenal among the clubs keeping tabs on Simons as the Bluez edge closer to making a formal offer for the RB Leipzig midfielder.

The Dutch star is on Chelsea’s target list as they push to bolster their attack line, with talks over personal agreement said at an advanced stage.

Chelsea are tipped to submit an official offer soon, and there are speculations that a deal could be struck below the previously reported €70 million price tag.

Arsenal could make a move for Simons if they are unable to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

Simons, meanwhile, has emerged as a potential alternative if the Eze deal stalls or if the market shifts in Arsenal’s favour.
