Arsenal interested in this Lille midfielder
Arsenal who have recently gained back their form after a poor start this season are currently seated in the 5th spot on the EPL table.
To continue their impressive form, the recent reports have linked Arsenal with moves for Lille’s midfielder in the person of Renato Sanches.
This comes as the Gunners are set to make do without Granit Xhaka until the new year. At the same time, Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny will jet off to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in January for their respective countries.
With this, the Gunners being led by Mikel Arteta are being tipped to bolster their midfield ranks over the coming winter transfer window, with Lille’s Sanches identified as a leading target.
A report stated that Arsenal previously refused to fork out £30m to secure the Portuguese’s services, but according to Le 10 Sport, the Gunners maintain their interest in the Lille man.
The media outfit added that Lille would sanction a mid-season sale for a good offer; however, Arsenal will have to be wary of AC Milan, who are currently ahead of them in the race for Sanches.
Sanches has five goals and six assists to his name in 67 appearances for the Ligue 1 club.
