Arsenal and Manchester United Face Transfer Twist in Pursuit of Benjamin Šeško

Arsenal have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Benjamin Šeško, as the 21-year-old striker continues to attract attention ahead of a busy summer transfer window.
He was previously linked with a move to the Emirates last summer, but ultimately opted to extend his contract with RB Leipzig.
Šeško’s current deal at the Red Bull Arena runs until June 2029, and he has been a standout performer in the Bundesliga this season. Featuring in 31 league matches, the Slovenian international has scored 13 goals and registered five assists, playing a vital role in helping Leipzig climb to sixth in the table.
His form has not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs now expressing strong interest in securing his services. According to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the striker has an €80 million (£68 million) release clause, making him a prime target for clubs looking to invest in proven young talent.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to reinforce his attacking options this summer, and Šeško is seen as a long-term prospect with the potential to thrive in the Premier League. However, Manchester United also remain interested, and Atlético Madrid’s sporting director Andrea Berta is reportedly exploring ways to secure a discounted deal.
As interest intensifies, Arsenal and United could find themselves in a competitive race for Šeško’s signature in the coming weeks.
