The Blues have landed another transfer blow this summer as the latest report revealed Lazio are set to make move for Palmieri Emerson this summer.

Emerson, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Italian side Roma in 2018, was unable to break into the Blues’ first team and had been in and out of the club on loan transfers.

As of now, the defender has a year to go on his contract, and the Blues have the opportunity to sell him this summer as they look to freshen up their defensive options.

And Corriere dello Sport reports that the Brazilian-born Italy international is a target for Lazio, with the Serie A side’s manager, Maurizio Sarri wants to reunite with his former player.

According to the report, the Blues are demanding over £12million for Emerson and he may need to take a pay cut to secure a move.

As a Chelsea player, Emerson in the past two seasons made 16 appearances for Chelsea but didn’t get any opportunity under current manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea may agree to let him leave as they have the duo of Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso to choose from at the left-back.
