Chelsea’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino has been working on helping the club cut down on the number of players they have in their squad.

With no European game next season, Chelsea need to sell some of their players this summer so as not to against the Financial Fair Play rule.

Owing to this, Pochettino has reportedly told Dennis Zakaria to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Zakaria, who signed a deal with Chelsea on loan from Juventus, is not part of Pochettino’s plans for next season.

Romano made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday night.

“Mauricio Pochettino has also decided on Denis Zakaria, the Swiss midfielder’s set to leave Chelsea in June, he’s not part of the plans,” Romano tweeted.

“Chelsea will not trigger the buy option clause, Zakaria will return to Juventus and then will assess his options.”
