Italian side AC Milan have reportedly rejected the offer to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukuku who left the Italian Serian A for £97.5m from Inter Milan to Chelsea has been relegated to a bench role in the past few months after his poor form.

The Belgian striker in a statement last also admitted he was hoping for a return to Inter Milan, which led to a frosty relationship with the fans.

AC Milan were supposedly interested in signing Lukaku this summer, but Gazzetta dello Sport – via football.london – now claims that the Rossoneri are not planning on signing the former Everton and Manchester United man.

The report added that AC Milan’s agreement with Divock Origi means they have no plans to move for Lukaku, with his Belgian compatriot due to leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer.

As of now, Lukaku has a contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2026.

He started for the Blues against Arsenal but was taken off midway into the match as they suffered a 4-2 loss to the Gunners.
