The recent reports have revealed that Italian club AC Milan are eying a January move for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

AC Milan are on the lookout for a new defender after their experienced centre-back Simon Kjaer underwent knee ligament surgery last week and will be unavailable for the rest of the season.

According to Sky Sports News in Italy, AC Milan’s sporting director Paolo Maldini has targetted Christensen as a potential target they can sign on a loan or permanent transfer in January.

It is no longer news that Christensen is in his last months on his current deal with Chelsea, and so far, no new agreement has been reached.

Apart from the Denmark International, the reports revealed that AC Milan also have their eyes on Malang Sarr, Lille’s Sven Botman and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic as possible defenders they could sign

AC Milan have a recent history of signing Chelsea players, and they have signed the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori, who are currently at San Siro.

Christensen has made 142 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, which also include 15 appearances this season.
