47-year-old German coach tipped to replace Lampard at Chelsea

Former Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has been tipped as the favourite to replace Frank Lampard at Chelsea despite his recent sacking at the Frenchman Champion.

Thomas Tuchel was sacked some days ago despite leading his side to a Champions League final ever to Bayern Munich.

His sacking came just hours after he took his side to emphatic win over Strasbourg and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been tipped as his replacement.

With Frank Lampard now going through a tough time at Chelsea following his team defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, Tuchel has been tipped as the next man that will be tasked with steadying the ship.

According to Bild, if Lampard did not revive his team in the next coming days, Roman Abrahimovic and the club board may be forced into sacking the English man.

Considering the fact that Chelsea board doesn’t waste time when it comes to sacking a non-performing coach makes the report quite believable.

The German outlet claims Chelsea would be interested in moving for Tuchel as they are also hopeful he will bring out the best in Kai Havertz who has been having a difficult time at Chelsea.

Bild noted that Thomas Tuchel will not take an extended brake from football as he hopes to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.
