UEL: How Arsenal vs Villarreal game may end

Arsenal will return to action on Thursday night when they host their former coach, Unai Emery and his Villarreal led squad at Emirate stadium in the Uefa Europa League.

While Arsenal are expected to work hard to ensure they make it to the final after they lost to Villarreal in the first leg with a 2-1 scoreline, former Gunners player, Ian Wright has however predicted a win for his former club.

Arsenal’s recent 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League last weekend is expected to be a boost for them on Thursday night.

“For me, I think that Unai’s Coquelin substitution when they were flying, that has to come back to bite him,” Wright said on Ringer FC’s Wrighty’s House podcast.

He however, acknowledged the fact that Emery has the experience when it comes to winning the UEL, having done it with Arsenal and also with other clubs.

“It’s something he’s always done, and it has cost him, and I think that was our way back in. We were not meant to be in the game,” Wright said.

He added that Villarreal would have finished Arsenal in the first leg but they didn’t. He stressed that it’s why he thinks the Gunners are going to beat them.
