The summer transfer window continues to gather momentum, with clubs across the Premier League assessing their options ahead of the new season.

While some reports appear more credible than others, Manchester City look to be closing in on one deal, while Manchester United are being linked with a pair of ambitious targets.

Atletico Madrid, however, remain in a strong negotiating position. The Spanish club are reportedly determined not to let Alvarez leave unless any interested side is prepared to meet a significant valuation.
