Thomas Partey to Barcelona? Arsenal star decides

Arsenal star Thomas Partey has taken a decision on a transfer move to Spanish La Liga side Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The recent reports disclosed that Partey has decided to remain with the Gunners for another season.

This comes after he showed his willingness to turn down a mouth-watering deal to leave the Gunners and sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Partey is in his final two months of his current contract with the Premier League North London club and it is yet to be known if the Gunners will be willing to keep him after his current contract expires.

It would be recalled that the 31-year-old signed for Arsenal from Spanish LaLiga club Atletico Madrid in 2020.

The Ghanian, who is expected to be a free agent on July 1 has attracted interest from Spanish sides Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, will be able to join a nww club on a free transfer this summer.

The reports have disclosed that talks on possible contract extension have been ongoing for the past few months.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta also wants the midfielder to extend his deal with Arsenal.

The Evening Standard recently reported that Partey has decided to stay at Arsenal.

It further reported that the Ghanaian midfielder wants to pen a contract extension before Arsenal’s last match of the season against Southampton on May 25 in the EPL.
