Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta is looking forward to adding a new creative midfielder to his side in the soon to commence January transfer market.

The Gunners have not been all that spectacular this season and one of the weak point in the team is their poor midfield as they lack a creative midfielder that can help create passes for the strikers.

German international, Mesut Ozil would have been the best to take up the spot of the creative midfielder but he is out of favour under Arteta’s led Arsenal squad.

A report disclosed that even before dumping Ozil, Arteta was on the lookout for new midfielders in the summer as he went ahead to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.

He also wanted to sign Lyon’s Houssem Aouar but they were unable to complete a deal as at then.

They have however been linked with moves to sign him ahead of the January window.

A new report according to TeamTalk has disclosed that Arsenal have now added Norwich midfielder, Emiliano Buendia, to their list of targets.

This comes after Aouar recently hinted he is not interested in leaving Lyon and would remain in the Ligue 1 for the rest of the season at least.

The report also revealed that another major target to emerge is RB Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai.
