Thierry Henry Backs Alvarez and Gyokeres Partnership at Arsenal

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has urged the club to think carefully before considering any deal that would see Viktor Gyokeres exchanged for Julian Alvarez, insisting that his ideal scenario would be to see both forwards playing together at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have long admired Alvarez, with the Argentine striker continuing to establish himself as one of the most complete attackers in world football. Following Arsenal’s Premier League triumph and their run to the Champions League final, adding another elite forward has been viewed as a potential step towards building sustained success both domestically and in Europe.
Recent reports from Spain have suggested that Atletico Madrid could be open to discussing Alvarez’s departure if Gyokeres were included in a deal, alongside a substantial transfer fee believed to be in excess of £50 million. Such an arrangement would give Arsenal a realistic opportunity to sign a player who has already proven himself in English football during his successful spell with Manchester City.
However, Henry is not convinced that sacrificing Gyokeres would be the right move. While acknowledging Alvarez’s exceptional quality, the Arsenal icon believes the club should instead explore ways of keeping Gyokeres and bringing Alvarez to North London.
Speaking on the speculation, Henry described Alvarez as one of the most complete forwards in the game today and suggested that a partnership between the two strikers could be devastating for opposition defences. Rather than choosing between them, Henry believes Arsenal would benefit most from combining their strengths and creating what he considers a dream attacking partnership capable of elevating the club to even greater heights.
