Saka on injury: Why Arteta should be blamed

Arsenal’s star Bukayo Saka’s injury and hiatus from football has continue to generate reactions, with former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara being the latest to share his take.

O’Hara in a statement directed his message at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who be blamed Saka’s injury blow.

Recall that Saka had to leave the pitch during Arsenal’s win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on December 21 after he picked up an hamstring injury.

The English winger later under went surgery and is now expected to be on the sidelines until March, 2025.

O’Hara was of the opinion that ‘both Arteta and the fixture list are to blame’ for Saka’s injury, as he stressed that the winger had no rest.

“It was always going to happen, Arsenal have got themselves to blame,” O’Hara said in a statement via Grosvenor Sport.

The former Tottenham star added that Arteta had played Saka every single week, including games where he didn’t in to feature in, like Carabao Cup matches.

“Saka hasn’t had any time off. There’s no rest for the top players,” O’Hara added.

Meanwhile, the footballer had shared a picture of him from a hospital bed with an assuring message to his fans.
