Premier League outfit, Everton have make a formal bid for out-of-favour Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles ahead of the transfer deadline day.

Maitland-Niles has not been able to work his way into Mikel Arteta’s team and has been linked with a move out the London club.

According to multiple reports, Everton have now submitted a bid to sign Maitland-Niles on a season-long loan with an option for a permanent switch next summer.

Reports claimed Everton made the bid on Sunday night and are now waiting on Arsenal.

The toffees are hopeful of getting the deal done before Tuesday’s deadline as Rafa Benitez plans to strengthen his squad.

Arsenal are trying to cut their wage bill and some players are set to leave the club before the transfer deadline day.

Maitland-Niles is a versatile player who has played at right back in the past for Arsenal despite being a midfielder.
