Marcus Rashford is set to discuss his future with Manchester United amid links to Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking lineup this summer.

Arsenal have had a quiet summer transfer window so far, but July could see a flurry of activity as Mikel Arteta aims to bolster his squad.

Although there haven’t been any first-team additions at the Emirates yet, the rumor mill is in full swing.

The Gunners are prioritizing a new center forward this summer. Benjamin Sesko was a target before he committed to RB Leipzig with a new five-year deal.

Other names like Joshua Zirkzee, Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres, and Ivan Toney have also been considered.

While not a traditional No.9, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford could be an intriguing option for Arsenal.

Arteta met with Rashford in May to discuss a potential move, and both parties are reportedly open to a deal, despite Rashford signing a long-term contract with United last summer.

Recent reports suggest that United have not ruled out letting Rashford leave, amid possible changes in his representation.

Rashford’s brother, Dwaine Maynard, has been in discussions with an agency to assist in managing the forward’s career.

Although United would prefer to retain Rashford, the possibility of his departure could give Arsenal the opportunity to strengthen their forward line.

Rashford, who can play across multiple attacking positions, would provide Arteta with a proven Premier League talent.

Despite a dip in form last season, Rashford scored 30 goals in 56 appearances for United in 2022/23.

If Arteta can help Rashford regain his best form, Arsenal would have a formidable player.

Rashford’s versatility allows him to play both on the left and through the middle, offering extra flexibility for the team.

Should Rashford join Arsenal, he would likely start on the left, with Bukayo Saka on the right and Kai Havertz through the middle.

This would make Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard valuable second-choice options. Such an attacking lineup would be the envy of many Premier League clubs.

Rashford’s addition could be the key to Arsenal’s title aspirations, providing the extra quality needed to challenge for the Premier League crown.
