Manchester United and Arsenal have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, who has emerged as a major target for top Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Mbeumo has been in exceptional form this season under the guidance of manager Thomas Frank. Following the high-profile departure of Ivan Toney to the Saudi Pro League, the Cameroon international has stepped up impressively to lead Brentford’s attack. His performances have not gone unnoticed, having registered 18 goals and six assists in 35 Premier League appearances to date.

The 25-year-old was instrumental once again this past weekend, playing a pivotal role in Brentford’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester United—a performance that further solidified his growing reputation.

His consistency and versatility across the forward line have caught the attention of several Premier League giants, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Manchester United.

With Brentford reportedly valuing Mbeumo at £60 million, interested clubs are said to be willing to meet the asking price given his current form and potential. Manchester United, under incoming manager Ruben Amorim, are particularly keen to strengthen their attacking options and have now formally entered the race to secure the forward’s signature.

Arsenal, too, are monitoring the situation closely as Mikel Arteta looks to add depth and flexibility to his front line. Mbeumo’s ability to play in multiple attacking roles makes him an attractive option for any side competing on multiple fronts next season.

The prospect of a move became even more likely after Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard acknowledged that Mbeumo could depart the club this summer. In a recent interview, Nørgaard admitted the forward’s form and ambition suggest a transfer may be imminent, stating: “It would not surprise me if Bryan decides to take the next step in his career. He’s been outstanding for us and deserves the opportunity to play at the highest level.”

Brentford are believed to be preparing for Mbeumo’s potential exit, with the club already scouting possible replacements. Despite their desire to retain him, the West London side is realistic about their ability to fend off interest from Champions League-level suitors.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the race to sign Bryan Mbeumo is expected to intensify. With multiple top-tier clubs expressing concrete interest and the player’s future at Brentford increasingly uncertain, a high-profile move appears to be on the horizon.

Should United or Arsenal secure the dynamic forward, it could mark one of the standout deals of the summer, especially given Mbeumo’s proven Premier League pedigree and versatility in attack.
