Manchester City have a reason to be worried amid their 2-2 draw against Arsenal during the Premier League encounter this weekend.

The Citizens suffered a blow after their midfielder Rodri was forced off in the first half of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

After their goalless Champions League draw with Serie A side Inter Milan on Wednesday, Rodri was returned to action in the middle for the Citizens alongside Ilkay Gundogan for the game with Mikel Arteta’s sidr.

Following the kickoff, Rodri hit the deck clutching his face after a collision from the on-running Chelsea Kai Havertz, but the Spaniard was fit to continue after receiving treatment.

He, however, fell after an innocuous coming-together with Thomas Partey at a corner.

Following the encounter, Rodri with the support of Man City medics left the pitch and was replaced by former Chelsea midfielder Matteo Kovacic.

There are no details on his injury yet but Man City will hope that Rodri’s injury is not a severe one, with four games in 12 days to prepare for across three different tournaments before the next international break.

Meanwhile, Man City will return to action on Tuesday when they face Watford in the EFL Cup third round, a game Rodri could miss.
