I am not scared of sack – Arteta
Arsenal are at their worst this season under Mikel Arteta and there are growing speculation that he could be sacked at the end of the season.
Arsenal are seated out of their usual top-four positions on the league table and are seated inconveniently at the 11th spot, which is not good news for a big club like Arsenal.
Their only option of making it to the Uefa Champions League next season is if they can lift the Uefa Europa League this, which is already look hard for them.
Arsenal failed to secure a win during their first leg match vs. Villarreal last week as the game ended in a 2-1 scoreline.
Considering Unai Emery records when it comes to the Europa League, it would be hard for Arsenal to bounce back in the second leg.
‘Well, I don’t want to think that way,’ Arteta said when asked if he feared the sack. ‘I want to think that we are going to be in that [Europa League] final and then we are going to have positive consequences after that.’
Arteta however, admits he has been unable to deliver the desired result as expected of him.
Arsenal will return to action in the Premier League today when they face New Castle United.
