How Arsenal can get a permanent deal for Odegaard
Arsenal have been impressed by the performance of Martin Odegaard at Emirate stadium and have been reported to be working out ways to secure a permanent deal for him.
Odegaard moved to the North London club on loan from Real Madrid as he lacked playing chances in the Spanish club.
However, since moving to Arsenal, he has been getting enough playing chances that has helped the Gunners so far this season.
According to the reports, one of the ways Arsenal will be able to secure a deal for Odegard is if Gareth Bale is allowed to return not Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
This is because if Bale doesn’t return to the Spanish club from Tottenham where he is on loan, the Gunners will have to spend heavily to secure a deal for Odegaard from the Los Blancos as there is no clause to sign him permanently in his current loan deal at Emirate stadium.
Odegaard current deal with Real Madrid doesn’t end until 2023 which means the Spanish giant will not accept a cheap offer.
And Arsenal mightn’t be able to afford that as they recently reported a loss of £47.8m for the financial year a few weeks back.
Real Madrid also have financial issues and the reports from Spain have outlined the need for them to offload some of their big earners.
Bale has revealed intentions to return to the La Liga, this means if he returns, Madrid will have to sign out Odegaard permanently and this is where Arsenal stand to gain.
