EPL: Arsenal’s injury update Vs Southampton

Arsenal will return to action this weekend as they set to get more points in their bid to win a EPL title this season.

Ahead of their weekend clash with Southampton in the Premier League, manager, Mikel Arteta, gave injury updates as he said both Jurrien Timber and Ben White could feature in the match.

Recall that Timber was taken off during half time of the Blues 2-0 win over PSG in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

White, on the other hand, was not in the squad for the game as he is struggling with injury.

Speaking in a pre-match conference on Friday ahead of the visit of the Saints, Arteta said his team had to modify training for their players on Thursday.

And they did the same on Friday because of the load they had.

Arteta stressed that his team has to make a decisio whether to involve them or not when they play Southampton this weekend.

The manager who said Timber and White are close to making appearances, also added that Takehiro Tomiyasu is alo close to, which is a good news for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Manchester City are at the same spot on the league table behind toppers Liverpool.
