EPL: Arsenal regain top spot after 2-0 win against Wolves
Arsenal led by manager Mikel Arteta has taken back the top spot on the Premier League table after they defeated Wolves on Saturday.
Recall that the North Londoners missed the opportunity last Sunday, following a 2-0 unexpected defeat at home to Aston Villa.
However, the Gunners returned to winning ways this weekend as they were in control of the match at the Molineux.
They took the lead in the first half, thanks to Leandro Trossard’s smart finish.
Martin Odegaard then sealed the victory in the dying minutes of the game with a second goal as the Gunners won all three points against Wolves.
Arsenal now have 74 points from 33 matches.
Premier League champions Manchester City are second with 73 points from 32 matches, while Liverpool who face Fulham on Sunday are on 71 points.
Meanwhile, Man City have one game at hand which means they can over take the Gunners if they are able to defeat their next opponents Brighton on Thursday.
Arsenal still have tough games against Chelsea, Man Utd among others which would determine if they would lose the Premier League title to Man City like they did last season.
