Arsenal will on Saturday return to action when they take on Brentford in the English Premier League.

Ahead of the match, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed that his side have been handed a boost in the form of Takehiro Tomiyasu, who returned to the Gunners’ squad ahead of the EPL game on Saturday.

Arteta, in his pre-match statement, also revealed that Gabriel Martinelli would be unavailable for Arsenal when they play against Brentford at Emirates due to the red card the 20-year-old got in their last game.

The Gunners made this known on Friday during his pre-match press conference as his side head to the game following a 1-0 win over Wolves in their previous game last week.

“The doubt was Tomiyasu which is still not perfect, but he’s trained the last few days, so he is in contention and we can use him,” Arteta said.

“Gabi [Gabriel MartinelliGabi] is out because of the red card, but the rest of the players are okay.”

Arsenal will hope to pick all three points against Brentford today.
