EFL: Liverpool to face Arsenal in the semi-final

The EFL went down on Wednesday night, and one of the interesting matches from the tournament was the one between Liverpool and Leicester City.

The match was os intense that the game ended in a 3-3 draw, which eventually led to a penalty shootout.

Liverpool went on to defeat the Foxes in a 5-4 scoreline.

The outcome of the match has now seen Liverpool being drawn against Arsenal in the League Cup semi-final.

Liverpool have progressed to the last four of the competition following victories over Norwich, Preston and Leicester City.

This will be the first time the Reds have reached the semi-finals of the League Cup since 2016/17.

It is also their third appearance at this juncture of the tournament under coach Jurgen Klopp.

The first leg of the semi-finals between Liverpool and Arsenal will be on January 3, while the second leg will take place on January 10.

However, there are ongoing discussions on if the match will be played as a single game due to the pandemic, but as of the time of this report, no final decision has been made.

In another report, Chelsea will face Tottenham in the Semi-finals of the EFL.
