Arsenal to go all out for this Barcelona midfielder

The latest reports have revealed that Arsenal are set to go all out for Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in the coming January transfer window.

This comes as Coutinho continues to battle for more game time in the Spanish club this season.

The reports revealed that Barcelona new coach Xavi has stated that the former Liverpool star player is not a part of his plan at Camp Nou and, as such, would be allowed to leave if there are interest for him from foreign clubs.

Coutinho, 29, who moved to Camp Nou at a record fee of £142 million from Liverpool in January of 2018, is now considered surplus to requirements at the Spanish club.

Apart from Arsenal, the reports revealed that Everton and Newcastle are also interested in signing him; however, he doesn’t favour a move to join the Magpies.

Arsenal stand a good chance of signing Coutinho as he is represented by Kia Joorabchian, an agent with who the Gunners have close ties.

Joorabchian helped sign the likes of Willian, Cedric Soares and David Luiz to the North London club.

So far this season, Coutinho has scored only two goals in 16 appearances for Barcelona.
