Atletico Madrid join other clubs in the race for this Arsenal striker
There are quite a number of European clubs that want to raid Arsenal in the next transfer window for the Gunners striker Alexandre Lacazette.
One of such clubs is Spanish side Atletico Madrid who believe Lacazette will play a big role in their squad.
The 30-year-old striker recently forced his way back into Mikel Arteta’s squad after he was left out of the team for some while.
However, despite regaining his spot in the Gunners squad, Lacazette is expected to leave when his contract runs out in the summer of 2022.
Apart from Atletico Madrid, Lacazette has been linked with moves to Manchester City and Barcelona, with Newcastle United also rumoured to be interested in the Gunners striker.
However, a report via La Razon claimed that La Liga champions Atletico are also set to battle for the Frenchman’s signature after they were linked with a move for him over the summer.
The report added that the Spanish club have identified Lacazette as an ideal alternative to Red Bull Salzburg starlet Karim Adeyemi, who is believed to have already held talks with Real Madrid.
So far this season, Lacazette has scored three goals in nine appearances in all tournaments for the Gunners.
