Arsenal’s pursuit of former Tottenham playmaker receives huge boost
Inter Milan are set to end their union with former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen, a move that will bring joy to the camp of Arsenal Football Club.
Eriksen was one of the top players in the Premier League while at Tottenham but pushed for a move away from the London club so as to try a new adventure in Italy.
However things have not been going too well for Eriksen under Antonio Conte at Inter Milan as he has not bee able to cement a place in the team, a situation that has been monitored by top European teams including Arsenal.
Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta while speaking with Sky Sport confirmed that Christian Eriksen is on the transfer list and will be leaving in January.
According to Marotta, Eriksen is not in the club plan as he’s been having difficulties settling down at Inter Milan and it’s best he’s allowed to leave so as to create space for a new player.
With Arsenal currently going through the toughest phase in their long-term history, Eriksen has been eyed as a suitable player with his Premier League experience an added advantage.
The Denmark international played 305 times for Tottenham after joining from Ajax in 2013 where he scored 51 goals and registered 62 assists in 226 Premier League matches, a statistics that showed how important he was before his move to Seria A.
