Arsenal are supposedly prepared to take their move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt in a cut-price transfer.

The Premier League giants are on the lookout for an attacking midfielder as they set to miss out on signing Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal.

German outlet Bild claims that Julian Brandt, who is on the fringes at Borussia Dortmund with 16 Bundesliga starts this term, is being eyed up by the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been connected with the German before, but they couldn’t accept Dortmund’s valuation.

Notwithstanding, the report recommends that BVB are currently able to acknowledge around £17.5m for the 24-year-old after a largely disappointing campaign.

Julian Brandt has played 35 times for his country, scoring three goals, and has 226 appearances added to his belt in the German top flight for Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
