Arsenal have made an initial approach to sign highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Breno Bidon from Corinthians, according to reports from UOL.

The 20-year-old has attracted growing interest across Europe, and the Gunners are among several clubs monitoring his situation.

Mikel Arteta is focused on bolstering key positions this summer, particularly in attack, with a centre-forward and winger high on the club’s priority list. However, Arsenal are also making strategic moves to reinforce depth across the squad.

The club has already been active in the transfer window, securing deals for Spanish duo Martín Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, both of whom are expected to be officially announced next week. Brentford captain Christian Nørgaard is also set to join, with a medical scheduled in the coming days.

In defence, Arsenal are in advanced talks with Valencia for Spain U21 centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, who is seen as an ideal option to provide depth and competition alongside William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.

Now, the club has turned its attention to youth once again, making contact over a possible deal for Bidon. The Corinthians midfielder has also attracted interest from Brighton and Wolves, while Portuguese giants Sporting CP and Benfica are also said to be in the race.

While details around the fee remain undisclosed, Arsenal are believed to be exploring a cut-price opportunity to sign the talented Brazilian, whose potential makes him an exciting long-term addition to Arteta’s project.
