Arsenal Identify £66m Striker Alternative to Alexander Isak

Arsenal are exploring options to strengthen their attack this summer, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike emerging as a potential alternative to Alexander Isak.
Mikel Arteta is keen to add a top-class striker to his squad, and Ekitike is now on the club’s radar alongside previous targets such as Viktor Gyökeres, Benjamin Šeško, and Ollie Watkins.
Ekitike first gained attention with his impressive performances at Reims before securing a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain. In January 2024, he joined Frankfurt on loan and later made the switch permanent.
The 22-year-old has had a standout season, scoring 13 Bundesliga goals and six more in cup competitions, helping his team remain competitive following Omar Marmoush’s transfer to Manchester City.
However, Arsenal face stiff competition for his signature. According to Sky Sport Germany, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Juventus are also interested in the young forward. Frankfurt have reportedly set his price at around £66 million, a figure similar to what Arsenal paid for Kai Havertz.
With Arsenal looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, securing a proven goal scorer will be crucial in their pursuit of silverware. Whether they opt for Ekitike or another high-profile target, the club’s summer transfer strategy will be key to their success.
