Arsenal goalie set to join rivals

Arsenal may soon have to bid goodbye to their goalkeeper, Matt Turner, who is now close to moving to Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £7 million, according to Mail Sport.

The report revealed deal will provide funds for the North London side as they seek an agreement with Brentford for David Raya.

Arsenal have already submitted a £23m bid for Raya last week with the Spain international valued at £40m by Brentford.

However, there are speculations that the Bees could agree to a fee closer to £30m.

Turner was unable to make a Premier League appearance at the Emirates stadium last season, with Aaron Ramsdale the No 1 goalkeeper under Mikel Arteta.

The 29-year-old keeper made seven appearances in cup competitions.

A move to Nottingham Forest could be the best for Turner as it would enable him to play more with a home World Cup on the horizon in 2026.
