Arsenal could generate as much as £190 million through player sales this summer as sporting director Andrea Berta looks to reshape Mikel Arteta’s squad ahead of the new season.

The Gunners are expected to oversee a busy transfer window, with several first-team players facing uncertain futures as the club balances incoming signings with departures. Funds raised from sales would provide Arsenal with greater flexibility to pursue key targets in midfield, attack and defence.

Defender Jakub Kiwior has already completed his exit after a successful loan spell at FC Porto, although the fee received is understood to have fallen below £15 million. The deal has prompted debate among supporters, with some questioning whether Arsenal could have negotiated a higher return.

Gabriel Martinelli is among the biggest names linked with a move away from the Emirates. Should the Brazil international depart, his transfer could become one of the most valuable sales in the club’s history and significantly boost Arsenal’s spending power for the remainder of the window.

Young midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has also been mentioned in discussions over potential departures. As an academy graduate, any transfer fee received for the teenager would represent pure profit under football’s financial regulations, making such a sale particularly valuable from an accounting perspective.

Berta faces a crucial period as he attempts to maximise transfer income while ensuring Arteta retains a squad capable of competing for the Premier League and Champions League titles.

With several high-profile exits still possible, Arsenal’s summer business could ultimately be defined as much by the players they sell as by the new signings they bring to north London.
